“Mick, this is absolutely amazing!
All I can say is I am SO glad we chose you guys to come to Barbados and capture our wedding for us, it really is incredible. The quality of the footage and the way you have put it together is beautiful and everyone we show it to is blown away.
Dominique & Marc“
To be a part of a couples wedding day is always a pleasure but when Marc & Dominique got in touch last year to discuss their plans for us to be their Barbados Wedding Videographer, flying out with them to capture the full week of their wedding celebrations, it was a chance to create something very different than most wedding films. Having the opportunity to really document every aspect of the week was something that really appealed to us. With half of Dominique’s family being Bajan (the wedding was held at her Mothers newly built villa the stunning Seaclusion House on the west coast of Barbados ) capturing the unique character, landscape and vibe of Barbados and not just pretty pictures of idyllic beaches was very important to us.
The wedding week!
Flying out to Barbados from Manchester airport with Marc & Dominique and around 50 family and close friends (30 more guests and family would join us from other parts of the world during the week) meant we could get to know everyone and become part of the background. A big part of spending the week with everyone in Barbados was we wanted to be seen as not just destination wedding videographers but part of the party. Having wedding guests relaxed around us is one of the most valuable assets to creating a true documentary wedding video.
A Barbados wedding video that took in the whole week of celebrations from a pool party night and BBQ, a joint ‘sten’ party on dual catamarans swimming with the famous Barbados sea turtles to the amazing wedding day itself was something very important to Dominique and Marc. The evening wedding reception at The Cliff, Barbados, probably the most iconic restaurant on the island was the stunning setting for some truly heartfelt speeches. With a firework wall exploding over the sea during their first dance the wedding party continued into the small hours until a beautiful Barbados dawn glimmered on the horizon.
