Ben & Lucy New House Farm Wedding Video

New House Farm Wedding Video by MoviArt Films

It was a wet and wild New Years Eve for my filming of Ben and Lucys New House Farm wedding video but hey, it’s the Lake District what else did you expect!

To be fair I think the Lake District is at its most beautiful when the wind is wild and the sky is rolling with the threat of rain and the beautiful New House Farm and it’s surroundings is a perfect example of how “challenging “weather can really make itself a positive part of the wedding day.
From windswept confetti to dodging puddles and downpours on an isolated lakeside; if you embrace it all as Lucy and Ben did then the weather becomes something that only adds to the memories of the day.

Being a Grade II listed Wedding Venue with roots going back to 1650 New House Farm is a perfect canvas for rustic wedding decor. Nestled in fifteen acres of fields, forests, lakes and streams it’s justifiably proud of the areas World Heritage status surrounded by amazing vistas of the Northern Lakeland Fells .

Nestled between the picturesque villages of Buttermere and Lorton in the Lorton Vale and renowned for wildlife, history and culture the The Hayloft, Cart Shed and Milking Parlour at New House Farm provide individuality and a modern take on traditional Lakeland farm decor for the perfect Lake District wedding location. .

Light, camera, action at this New House Farm Wedding

Never underestimate the variety of light one wedding venue can have, even on a cold dark winters day! From the soft cold window light during the preparations to the fairy light strewn exterior and the pulsating disco light from the superb evening entertainment the Manytones band (one of the best Soul bands I’ve seen!), a New House Farm wedding provides a wonderful array of light throughout the wedding day.
